Ron Jarvis- Author of Private Lending Mastery- 40 yr veteran of real estate
Ron Jarvis's mother died at the age of 11, he went out on his own at 15- after high school he held several positions before
working on the construction of Minuteman missile silos in N. Dakota, (which earned him a deferment from the Vietnam draft.
Changing vocations then became a licensed aircraft mechanic for the airlines, a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He raised three fine men and became interested in real estate in the mid 70's. For the next 40 years or so he became an expert at matching money with opportunities in the lending business incorporating all phases of the real estate industry, which lead to the desire to write Private Lending Mastery almost ready for publishing. The lessons that came out of all of this and trials and tribulations will be a gift to many. Ron had a stroke in 2011 and a heart attack in 2014 which lead to the writing of his book and also working with a Natural Pathic Holistic Doctor, finding out that a large part of his health issue was having hundreds the normal/acceptable level in his body. Ted Coates, an icon in the real estate industry for years...joins us...
My Broker was a guy by the name of Hyman Adler, He was one the best men who ever came into my life. When I told him what had happen to me his face lit up and he grabbed me and hugged me and said my boy that’s the best thing they could have done for you. I was thinking Oh really! Well he went to work; at the end of three years Ted obtained his Brokers license, and became an associate broker and within three years after that he became sales Manager. He said Hyman taught me the business from A to Z including how to buy at Auctions. Time Had passed and Hyman was in his 80’s and still going strong, but he must have sensed something. He started talking about retiring and they cut a deal and Ted purchased the Business. They shared an office for about a year or so and he passed away. Ted purchased a real estate franchise and grew the Company from 15 agents to over 100. Ted says he has downsized , but in 37 years in the Business it’s the only Real Estate company I have ever been associated with. That’s me, as you can see this is not my first rodeo.
