The Colony at the Peninsula consists of three phases, built by Standford Carr, Developer and completed between 2004 and 2006. There exist a last phase of the Peninsula development, which is listed as a separate condo development.

The first building has 24 units per floor for a total of 96 units and buildings two and three have 28 units per floor or 112 each per building.

All three buildings are similar in architecture. The development is centered on a common area courtyard. Underground covered parking is the standard here! Although only 4 stories, there are elevators to take you from the parking to your unit.

Each unit is rather spacious and the one bedroom units are some of the largest on the island at 900 square feet. Units come with 9′ ceilings and gorgeous hardwood entryways greet you at the door, which lead you into your gourmet kitchen with granite countertops. The sumptuous living includes soft carpet with extra padding to ease away the stress of the day. Large Travertine tiles lead you into the relaxing extra deep soaking tub/shower and master bedrooms are oversized with walk-in closets.

The development is well built with steel framed construction and properly insulated, while having central air conditioning.

Amenities abound at The Colony at the Peninsula. Being a part of a master planned development that includes some single family homes and town homes you’ll enjoy this gated community at the peninsula. The Colony at the Peninsula has additional security to get in each building. While the main community has its own swimming pool, recreation room and fitness center, the Colony at the Peninsula has its own swimming pool, where only the residents of The Colony at the Peninsula has access to.

Just a short drive away are amazing white sand beaches, with aqua blue, and warm tempered waters, and Hanauma Bay is a mere minutes away. You can swim amongst the myriad of tropical fish in this amazing natural sanctuary. If fish isn’t your cup of tea, Koko Marina has every water sport you can think of, including scuba diving, or trolling for marlin and jet skiing.

Nearby, Sandy Beach Park is one of the premier Body Surfing and Boogie Boarding locations on the planet or you can also tear up the waves at a spot known as Half Point. Another spectacular spot is Spitting Caves to do some cliff diving, but it’s not for the light hearted!
